Dear friends,
the area I simulated is an inland river, which contains a branch inflow, where stilling basins and slopes are arranged. How to choose the appropriate convection scheme for this simulation in telemac? I have read the manual, but I don't know how to choose it. Can you give me some suggestions based on your valuable numerical simulation experience?

Hello,

The choice of advection scheme often depends on which property/properties you want to get (mass-conservation, monotonicity, dry areas, numerical diffusion e.g.).
You can get some hints in the TELEMAC-3D theory guide, table 4.1 in section 4.10.

You can also have a look at the examples of TELEMAC-2D or TELEMAC-3D which may model phenomena similar to what you want.
