Yes, I just tried running it in double precision. I saved my mesh to MED format using the QGIS plug-in, then converted it to SLFD with the Converter.py script. I’m not sure if there’s an easier way to save it directly as SLFD. I ran a simulation with a constant water elevation to check the results, but I’m still getting the odd mesh at the end...

the result file format is not specified, then I suspect this will be simple precision SELAFIN by default.
Maybe you could try to specify it...

Yes, using double precision solves the problem! Thank you very much for your answer.
Now I have another issue: my model runs well with the finite volume method, but it gets NaN values when I try to run it with finite elements.
I've tried decreasing the time step and changing it to a variable time step, but I still have the same issue.
I also tried changing the solver to 1 and modifying the treatment of the linear system, but nothing works...
If you have any idea, I've attached all the files I use.

Best regard

Hi
Read the forum rules about attachments
Did you correct the problem with the bottom elevation?

I had not seen your post about the bottom elevation before. But now I took it into account and everything is working well.

Thank you very much

I'm the current main developer for Blue Kenue.

I read in one of your posts that: "I've encountered some problems while generating the mesh in BlueKenue, it seems that it can't handle such small elements."

If you share your mesh generation files then I can investigate.

Kindly... Alan

Please find below a WeTransfer link (which expires in 3 days) to download two meshes:
1-One generated with BK
2-One generated with Q4TS

In both case I expected to produce a mesh with elements <0.1m

we.tl/t-dqTaG8qSeS

As far as I know, we cannot open the second mesh (generated with Q4TS) with BK because we get the message 'This appears to be a byte swapped file.' I would appreciate any advice on how to read it with BK. I understand that it's a question of the encoding method, but I am not advanced enough in numerical methods to make it work.
I use the 3.3.4 BK version.

Have a nice day
Adrien

Thanks for sharing the 2 SLF files. I can load them both successfully in BK 3.12.32 - beta.

If you share the T3 Mesh Generator (*.t3m) file, then I can see what process you are using in order to create the mesh in BK. Otherwise I can't help you further...

Kindly... Alan
