open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Hello.

I try to ask the following question for another user. this is due to some difficulties recently to interact with the website. Apparently a cybersecuriy software watches the website and blocks certain contents.

I am working with Gaia coupled with Telemac 2d and want to use a time-dependant solid discharge boundary condition. The model runs perfectly when I use a 'PRESCRIBED SOLID DISCHARGE' and a liquid boundaries file for only the discharge, but I cannot get it to read the BEDLOAD BOUNDARIES FILE successfully. Depending on whether I include discharge and solid discharge in on file or separate them, I get the following error messages:

- separate boundary files for liquid and solid discharges (see attachments bc_with_sed_v2.txt & Q_embouchure....txt)

- same boundary files for liquid and solid discharges (see attachment bc_with_sed.txt). The error says at least one solid discharge should be prescribed, which already the case. The printout "QG(" suggests that there is trouble reading the full text, but the format is the same as for other boundary files I have used (and which worked).

Without the steering file I would say there is a line missing according to the message
QG: MORE PRESCRIBED SOLID DISCHARGES
ARE REQUIRED IN THE PARAMETER FILE
AT LEAST 1 MUST BE GIVEN

it would be helpful to see the file. So far as I know you need for telemac and Gaia extra files. The error message told that in the first column it must be the time which is marked in the file with a "T".

Hi,

I got the files via email. The problem is a tab between the T and the QG(1) in the BEDLOAD BOUNDARIES FILE. The fortran code is looking for spaces in order to separate columns. So the T cannot be found.
Avoid using tabs for all ascii-files in Telemac!! This kind of error is always tricky to find.
Editors can change tabs into spaces.
