I installed matrub on windows 7 and rubens(french version) works well. However, when I used "rubens.bat -a" to invoke the english version. It didn't work. It gave the information "initialisation..." but couldn't go further. How should I do? Thanks a lot!!

It's a quite long time but if it works ...
I've check the perl script and I've no idea about the reason of such a difference between French and English version.
Probably linked to Windows 7...
